Cliff Haven Photo Album

December 2007

The crew from Fiberglass Unlimited are working to install the church steeple today. They are working hard, in spite of rainy conditions. Installation of the new steeple is complete. The Cliff Haven Church family has been invited to participate in a welcome home celebration for John Dollar this Sunday night after the evening service at the Hackleburg Church. John arrived home from Iraq this past Thursday night.

Charlotte Dollar and the church family at Hackleburg will begin the celebration in the church fellowship hall immediately following their evening service. There will be food and fun and Charlotte wanted to have the Cliff Haven Church family involved. You are invited to take the trip to Hackleburg following the Cliff Haven Youth Service tomorrow evening.

Note for those unfamiliar with the Dollar family: John, Charlotte, Jared, Jordan and Janae attended the Cliff Haven Church for several years while living in the shoals area. They are still loved by our church family.
Sister Judy Gray is the Director of Worship Ministries at the Cliff Haven Church and has taught music in the Muscle Shoals School System for decades. The Following is the account of her very own Christmas miracle. This is real... take the time to read it!

Ron and I are still walking on clouds and praising our awesome God!

Nothing like this has ever happened to us before. What a MARVELOUS BLESSING!

Thursday morning about 11:30, Phillip Jhin and Melissa Self, daughter Alli (all former music students) and Susan Estes from Shoals Suzuki came to McBride and escorted me out front where they presented me the key to a new Fire Engine Red 2008 Reno Suzuki! SHOCK AND AWE!!!! Melissa said, “An anonymous donor, who loves you very much, has bought you a new car.” Phillip brought official papers for me to sign to prove it wasn’t a hoax and also came to see the look on my face! I assure you, it was SHOCK!

Melissa said this generous gesture had breathed new life into the staff of the Shoals Suzuki dealership. They were so excited! They had never had this happen before and it really proved the spirit of giving of Christmas.

They told me that a check had arrived with a letter and specific instructions for delivery to the school. The donor will remain anonymous as part of the contract. McBride staff and kids were MORE than excited as the news quickly spread through the school!

This very special blessing has breathed new life into us, too. We have had some very sad and hard Christmases for several years due to illness, losing all of our parents, Ron’s heart surgery and long recovery. We never wavered in our faith but looked to the Lord praising Him in the good times and bad. I have served the Lord for 48 years and always sought to be in His will. I gave my music talent back to Him and have freely served Him in music worship in my church for 45 years. Ron also gives his music talent in service.

Ron and I are so very thankful to the Lord for this wonderful blessing! We praise Him for allowing this to take place. Our hearts are lifted through the love and generosity of our donor. Every little while we look at each other and say, “Praise the Lord!” Our hearts are full of gratitude to the generous loving person who has provided this gift for us. May God bless them even more abundantly! This person has to have a heart for God and listens to His still small voice. I was trying to hold on a couple of more years before buying a new car. Ron would pray for my ‘little Bessie’ every morning as he cranked and warmed it up. She’s been a good one since 1985! GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD! And I have a Christmas Miracle to prove it! Thank you for rejoicing and praising the Lord with us. God bless you and your family with a Merry Christmas!
